On this occasion, in order to nurture
a new generation of artists and in recognition of the important role played
by the master in training his/her knowledge and experience to a new generation,
the Summer Academy of Darat Al Funun has been established. The Academy
has been since 1999 under the supervision of the Syrian artist Marwan
Kassab Bashi who is a member of the Academie der Kunste and a professor
of drawing at the Berlin Superior College of Fine Arts
.


Celebrating this occasion
"The tenth Anniversary exhibition of works by Contemporary Arab Artists"
was displayed in all the galleries of the Darat.
In the middle hall gallery a complete documentation of the past ten years
activities and exhibitions was presented on big panels and on a video
screen, Hi-tech. was introduced in the Arts for the first time in Jordan.
Commemorating this event "Darat Al Funun Summer Academy for the Arts"
which will be directed by the Syrian artist Marwan Kassab Bashi, member
of the Academie der Kunste, and professor of Drawing at the Berlin Superior
College of Fine Arts, and will benefit the new generations of young Arab
artists.
