The 9th Anniversary of the contemporary Arab Artists Exhibition
1993 - 2002

Darat Al Funun introduced in 1993 a new exhibition concept, The Exhibition of Contemporary Arab Artists, that has well served artists and the public alike.

In this exhibition, visitors may view, throughout the year, a selection of works by a number of Arab artists, living in the Arab world and abroad, who are invited to exhibit their art. Through this collective exhibition, Darat Al Funun achieves several goals.

It provides the public with a bird's eye view of works of art created by Arab artists and gives the opportunity to witness, as closely as possible, the development of the Arab Art movement. It also facilitates the acquisition of these works by the public, without commission to the non-profit Darat Al Funun.
