Six Days
2009 | video | 7'00"
by Ala' Younis
The 7-minute film looks at the state of the Arabs during the
six day war. Large numbers of fierce impassioned volunteers
registered to join the armed forces at its different fronts
in 1967. The film uses the war's documented sounds and footage
to reflect on critical moments in a war where a false voice
of victory overshadowed the factual image of defeat. Detached
stillness is manifested on the seventh day confirming a failed
political endeavor.
