Restoration
Column drums were reset and
the single Corinthian capital which was
present on the site was placed on the
northeast column. The other capital was
obtained from a private collection and was
probably originally here or was from the
same Roman monument as the other elements
used by the Byzantine builders. The horned
altar was found on the upper level of the
site and moved to its present location.
Parts of the walls have also been rebuilt
in areas where only their foundations
survived. Fatma Marii and Na'if Zaban
assisted with the restoration of the
monument and the objects.
